“As a former professional rugby player, I joined Worthing Rugby Club matt milesand wanted to continue to perform at my best. I needed a performance coach that would provide me with programmes that would allow me to get the best out of my gym work and on field training, whilst also tailoring towards my specific needs and rehab goals. Having had a number of injuries this was always going to be tough. Thankfully Matt was up to the task. He provided me with programmes, one on one sessions and advice. With his advice I feel I have become a functionally better athlete, improved my strength, power, size and fitness whilst also addressing pre-existing issues and fixing them. All Matt’s help has allowed me to perform at my peak week in and week out. Matt has now moved on from Worthing Rugby Club but his professional approach and thorough in-depth knowledge means I continue to use him as my performance coach.

I would strongly encourage any athlete looking to get ahead of the competition to enlist Matt’s help. He is knowledgeable, professional, and dedicated to improving the performance of his clients & athletes.”

“Matt has helped me to reach new levels of strength, power and fitness. His constant professional approach is invaluable in preparation for rugby. For the last 3 seasons he has designed programmes to ensure I ‘peak’ and break pb’s as the new season approaches. This enabled me to be in top condition as the season starts. He has also helped me to maintain this strength and power throughout the season, constantly reviewing the programming as the season goes on. Even after he moved on from the Raiders I was so impressed with his work, that I employed him to continue to be my strength and conditioning coach.”

Sport specific training

“Pure Health Pure Sport was recommended to me as I am new to the area. I was reluctant at first, but decided to give Matt the opportunity to prove himself. I was not disappointed. Not only was his knowledge second-to-none, but he was able to apply my sport-specific training history and take it to the next level.

Rarely have I worked alongside someone who will so genuinely strive to achieve your personal fitness goals. I would not hesitate in giving my recommendation.

sport specific training for football

“As a footballer the sport specific options at pure health pure sport really appealed to me as i could focus on training the areas that are most important for me on the pitch rather than aimlessly walking round a gym without a clue. The patience and knowledge of the trainer to help me define and achieve suitable and realistic goals was really helpful and I feel more confident on the pitch because of their help.

I would recommend them highly to any competitive sportsperson.”

“After many failed attempts at getting fit, I decided to bite the bullet and get myself a personal trainer. I was fortunate enough to find Matt who has consistently delivered interesting sessions and the results that I wanted. After seeing Matt for 4 weeks he managed to help me lose a total of 5 and a half inches, 4 inches from my stomach and 1 and a half inches from my hips and bum. The results have far outweighed my many miserable attempts at going solo at the gym and completely exceeded my expectations. His professional yet relaxed approach towards health and fitness has actually made me enjoy getting fit again. Thanks Matt!”

– Andrew Duffy, Colour Technician at Trevor Sorbie, Brighton

“I’ve been training with Matt for 6 weeks now and losing on average 2lbs a week as well as the inches shedding off. Matt has given me the confidence back in myself. I’m loving every minute of my personal training and each week is another improvement in fitness, strength and weight loss. Matt is fantastic, professional and is able to push me to further than I ever thought I would go. I’m totally addicted and never have I ever worked so hard. Thank you Matt for giving me my confidence back. Cant wait for the next session.”
